Why did PMC start the Mobile Program

TELL YOU WHAT?
It started as an extension of PMC relief efforts after
Millions of people in the world die every year, victims of curable diseases, because they don’t have health services within their reach. Mobile clinics are a choice for treating these people regardless of how far away they might be.We are specialized medical team with vehicles for social purposes. The design gives priority to understanding the social function they are expected to accomplish. We have 1 years of experience in serving our countries. We are qualified to make medical services of any technical complexity.
General and dental medicine in a vehicle capable of getting to difficult access zones. Ultrasound and mobile lab for medical care in gynaecology and obstetrics. To diagnose diseases that most affect the world. Surgery room, recovery section and infirmary to provide a vast number of operations.
. We set up temporary clinics in schools, churches, , and community centres where medical  doctors and the whole team provided comprehensive medical exams  and medical services and replacement.
What services are offered by the PMC Program?
The program has two mobile general healthcare, dental care eye care clinics, each with two comprehensive exam rooms and full dispensaries. Services include a comprehensive exam that not only checks patients not just for examination, but also the overall health of the body. If the patient needs services that are currently unavailable to the respective setting then a referral is made to ensure respective specialists attend the patient.

 When not at disaster sites, the clinics travel to community events across the country. In partnership with our partner’s doctors, we provide services to the underserved and promote the importance of health.
Who can receive services from this program?
 Individuals who meet the disaster criteria or lost their health due to a disaster or several health conditioning.
Non-disaster times: Individuals must meet all of the following criteria of being sick.:
• Has a family income at or under of poverty level
• Is not enrolled in Medicaid or any other insurance company.
• Is a Tanzanian c citizen or documented immigrant with a Social Security Number (SSN); if an SSN is    not available, the individual cannot use this program
  
How is the mobile clinic staffed?
Once an event is scheduled, we ask PMC doctors or Colleagues of specialized medical field to volunteer their time and services. We are also planning to train several employees to work in the time of clinics conductions, each for two weeks per year.
Is patients’ private health information secure?
Yes. Protecting private health information is a top priority for PMC. We adhere to MoH guidelines.
In the clinic, staff members, doctors, or patients always have health records in their possession when services are provided. After all patient visits, patient records are secured in a locked cabinet. Only the mobile clinic team can access the files. When the mobile clinic returns to PMC, patient records are securely stored.
How is the clinic funded?
PMC is a not-for-profit company and gives back to the community in a variety of ways, such as the PMC program. Currently, PMC fully funds itself through donors fully funds this program.

Why are exams important?
Comprehensive general body exams are very important. They focus on a patient’s welfare and their overall health.
During an general body conditions examinations, PMC doctors can detect signs of serious health conditions, like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. They can also detect signs of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
