BRIEF HISTORY OF TMH
Tanzanian
Mobile Hospital
is a non-profit project, was established
in 2010 to provide health screening for early detection and disease
prevention of medical abnormalities including but not limited to Malaria,
HIV-AIDS,TB and chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease
and various types of cancers. The project will
offer free medical services that cover
- Screening
- Medical consultation
- Prescription of medications
- Diagnostic test services
- Referrals
and a need based financial support
to uninsured or poorly insured individuals in the community for defined
period of time in almost all villages with poor health services representation.
And once all is cleared the service will be moved to the next region to start
another project done and this will be duplicated to ensure that all regions in
the country are covered.
The logistic committee shall make
all the arrangements for the transport to the destined camping region selected
as a pilot region Transport for medical personnel, equipments and supply shall
be made as well by the logistics committee.
If they can’t
reach them, let us go to them. Armed with this
ideology, TMH acting like mobile hospital with
all amenities for basic health care services, given free, can be doing the
rounds in rural Tanzania
across all underprivileged regions named.
